Hi, my name is Clea. I’m in my mid-thirties, living in London with my boyfriend, and we have a 1 year old son.
Before my son was born, I made my own clothes and jewellery. When I was pregnant, I stopped because of my changing size, and I’ve not yet had enough time to myself to start up again.
We are hoping to move house soon, where I will again have some space to set up my sewing machines – we had to put them away last year at the start of the pandemic to make space for my boyfriend to work from home.
I’ve recently been able to find time in the evening to crochet a few of the mini animals in the Toft Wild and Ocean books – the snake, the penguin and the clownfish, so far. See them here.
The last few days I’ve been trying to think of reasons to buy a Cricut Maker – I’ve been making a list of what I could make with one. The videos are so satisfying, though my main worry is the vast waste of plastic involved. How can I reduce my waste and still make the pretty things?
This blog is one of those reasons, I hope.
And showing how to reduce its waste might be another.
Let me know if you have any question, requests or tips.
